Dave and Suzy will exchange wedding vows in the Rose Garden of Golden Gate Park, located at the corner of Fulton and Funston streets in the Richmond District - just three blocks Chez Duzy! We love Golden Gate Park because of the wonderful memories we have of fun adventures with friends and family here - running, biking, Friday Nights at the de Young, Tour de Fat, Power to the Peaceful, The Great Gorilla Run, San Francisco Marathon water stops, brunches at the Park and Beach Chalets, tennis, day time dance parties, Hardly Strictly Blue Grass Festival, walks to Haight Street and the beach, Bay to Breakers, years of happy memories together, and we are looking forward to adding Duzy Day 2009 to the list!
You can get to the Rose Garden by muni (31, 28, 38, 5, 1, check www.sfmuni.com for schedules), taxi (approximately 20 minutes/ $20 from the Harbor Court Hotel), or driving. If you drive, access to underground parking garage is located at 10th Ave and Fulton St. The parking garage is under the Music Concourse between the de Young museum and the California Academy of Sciences. Both institutions are architectural and cultural marvels that are definitely worth a visit. If you are from out of town, consider arriving early to visit and perhaps have lunch at one of these museums before the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The celebration in the Shakespeare Garden is approximately a half-mile walk from the ceremony in the Rose Garden.
